The Nomadic Oven is Burlington’s roving bakery, which alights each Saturday from May through October at the downtown Burlington Summer Farmers’ Market. During those months, The Nomadic Oven also provides a weekly delivery service, Sweet Thursdays, bringing boxes of handmade, artisanal treats to Burlington businesses and offices. The baker, Jen Smith, varies the pastries by season and by whim, with a constant focus on creating delicious and beautiful sweets. We believe that by supporting local producers and farmers we can enjoy better food and a healthier community, and we use local and organic ingredients whenever possible.
